Frequently asked questions.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not bill direct, however we email a receipt at the end of session that you can provide to your insurance provider for reimbursement if you have coverage through your benefits.
Can I book a consultation before committing to a session?
Absolutely! I recommend booking a free 20 minute consultation prior to booking a session to determine if we are a good fit. This also provides an opportunity for me to answer any questions you might have.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another further. My goal is to help you feel comfortable! It often looks a bit like an intake with lots of questions for me to have a better understanding of who you are and what’s important to you. We will spend a bit of time exploring what your hopes and goals are for therapy. I welcome questions and feedback from clients during these sessions, as well as on an ongoing basis throughout our work together.
How frequently should I book sessions?
This is dependent and individual to each client. However, typically I would recommend biweekly sessions at minimum in order to see progress and build upon skills learned in session. When sessions occur monthly they often don’t allow for progress to be made as quickly. Again, this is very client specific and also can depend on affordability of services. I am flexible and happy to discuss this further with clients in a free 20 minute online/phone consultation!
